This week, News Director Terry Frank looks back on the major stories of 2018, starting with the first-year of the administration of Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello. Borrello fulfilled a campaign promise of visiting 100 businesses in his first 100 days in office. We also look back on crime stories, including the return of accused arsonist Jonathon Young, who was being held on unrelated charges in Butler, PA. We also look back on the 2018 General Election, which produced a "red wave" for Republicans in the county... led by challenger Jim Quattrone's victory over incumbent, six-term Democratic Sheriff Joe Gerace. We also look at three big retail closings in the Jamestown-area... led by the closing of Sam's Club... and, we look at the opening of the new, Celoron Harborfront Hotel, and the big story of the year, the grand opening of the new, National Comedy Center in Jamestown.
