(Alert)Jamestown police investigating shooting incident at Chadakoin Park...

Jamestown police are investigating a shooting incident early this evening at Chadakoin Park in which one person suffered several minor wounds.  However... City Police Chief Harry Snellings says they have no suspect in custody... largely because neither the victim... nor witnesses... are cooperating with police.  Snellings says officers were called to the scene near the basketball courts about 6 p.m., but, he says the victim had already been taken to the hospital.  He says they spoke with the man... a black male... who refused to cooperate.  Snellings says the victims that would cooperate would only say there were "3 to 4 shots" fired... and, "everybody dispersed from the scene."  Snellings says the victim treated and later released.  He says the victim was a black male... but, he had no age for him.  Snellings says -- the suspect -- who had run off before police arrived -- was reportedly hispanic.  However... there was no other description of the man.  Fortunately... no one else was hurt.  He says police don't have a motive for the shooting.  If anyone has any information on the case... they're asked to call city police at 483-7537... or their Tip-Line at 483-8477.
